52.3.3 Making a Portrait with an Audience in Mind-Minneapolis Senior Photographer

In week 3 of 52.3: Artistry we are exploring creating photographs with our intended audience in mind. Because this image was for a high school senior client and her family, I shot it close in, with the subject smiling and looking at the camera, to create a portrait style that many clients select. I used leading lines and compressed the background with a shallow depth of field to appeal to others as well as my clients.

I love to incorporate something unique and special to each senior, and Devyn wanted to include her viola. She had her hair and make up done, which so complimented this fun dress and the urban surrounding of the Mill City area. To say we had a fun session, would be an understatement. It was one of my favorite sessions! I absolutely loved capturing all the different outfits and looks that represent Devyn's personality and style. She is such a classic beauty!
