Week 17 Perspective Specialty Lens and Creative Purpose

This week is one of my favorite weeks because we are exploring perspective with the use of specialty lens. I love using my Lensbaby lens for creative purposes. The slice of focus, and accompanying blur, can be used in endless ways. When Tom and I went to Cancun, I brought three lens: a wide 28mm lens (week 14) and telephoto 70-200mm  (last 4  images below) and my Lensbaby Edge 80 (first 2 images below).

In my first mosaic photograph, the slice of focus is on the diagonal. This first draws the eye into the sharpest point of focus, on the people, and then guides the eye along, in the direction they are walking, toward the blur. I composed from this perspective intentionally.

Our year-long collaborative blog project is dedicated to composition and artistry. The gallery mosaic is randomly sorted every time you load the page.
