Macro at the Desert Week 23

This week Tom and I escaped to the desert in Scottsdale, Arizona. I played with a new lens attachment that lets me take macro images. Oh, what fun! This is my favorite, but there was a colored flower that I absolutely loved as well. But, this month we are seeing in black and white. I like the contrast of light and dark. I was able to get a very shallow DOF which I think makes this so much more interesting. You will see a little bit of light in the shadows on the bottom left, but mostly the light is high in the sky and bright which really helps with macro photography as it requires a lot of light.

Linda is a wonderful photographer capable of capturing many unique styles and genres of photography. I always enjoy seeing what she comes up with each week.
